This project explores the metamorphosis of nature and technology, fusing organic forms with straight, precise works of science and engineering. The result is a series of expressive posters that vividly articulate this tension.
For this project, our goal was to visually explore the fascinating contrast between nature and technology, and express our findings with of only six lines per frame. Through different approaches in visual storytelling I created narratives that convey the essence of how these two forces coexist and transform each other over time.
I started by collecting observations in urban and natural environments. While nature is defined by complex, flowing forms, the world we live in is shaped by technology, and on the first glance, can be expressed by a series of repetitive, straight lines.
To me this differences seems to blur, with recent innovations in technology and science. Therefore, I chose to explore the idea of merging the two fields, as well as expressing contrasts visually by keeping distance and comparing the dynamic movement in nature with perfect stillness.
Finally, I investigated if even unchanging, almost monolithic shapes can demonstrate a movement in time, when a zoom factor in added.
